Automatic Updates Fail after installing McAfAvEnt 8.0 unattended

Hi,

i have the following problem:

We distribute the McAfee Virusscan Enterprise 8.0 English on WinXPProSP2 Engl. with MUI. The Installation is created with the NAI Enterprise Installation Designer 8.0. I integrated the Sitelist.xml as source for repsitories. After installation there comes a Errormessage:
"Failed to initialize Common Updater Subsystem. Make sure the McAfee Framework Service is running. McAfee Common Framework returned error 80040154 @ 1"
Does anyone experienced the same problem?

PS: The NAI support wasn't able to help (1st + 2nd Level)

Do you have the correct ports open for updating? It actually sounds like an installation issue with VS 8.0 can you bring up the VS console will it manually update?

We distribute the Virusscan and the OS without any Firewall switched on in the domain. So all ports are open. No I can't start a manual update. The same error message appears.

Has your Installation Designer package worked on anything? Have you tried just using the VS 8.0i default package?

Yes we did.

I now have a running workaround I install the VS7.10 with our definitions and directly after that i install the VS8.0 It works great, ut this was not the way I wanted to go.

I checked the log files. The Installation isn't able to install the NAI Common Framwork, but I don't know why.
Any Idea?
