We've been having some problems with one of our Citrix servers where Remote Desktop connections are also connected.

Everyday we get complains on slow connections. Is there any way we could assign users to connect automatically to a Citrix server. Right now, Citrix just assigns the users on whichever server.

If you are load balanced then Citrix is working exactly the way it should, based on its own algorithms. I suppose you could manually connect users to published apps on a perserver basis but that is really a load of work. Visiting each client or producing a document that they could follow.
I suspect that you are trying to shoehorn too many users onto too little servers.

What is the config of your farm ?

Cheers
Scott

We have 2 Citrix Nfuse 1.6 running on Pentium III 1.26Mhz. About 40-50 users total on both servers. About 10 users on Remote Desktop using the first server and this is where we're having the issues.

Hi,

You could use the Advanced Load evalutator and not the Default one. However, I personally use the Default one as it keeps the servers working with the same amount of users.

What processes are hogging the CPU's when the users are moaning, should you not consider something like Appsense to manage your servers and their processes?

Cheers,
Carl.
