Is there away to turn on a Auto Messaging Light (aut-msg-wt) for a Mailbox on another phone, that has no phone extension programmed in the PBX. Or do I have to program a Phantom extension to make this option to work ? As well I noticed when I program a Phantom extension to make it work, some times it takes all most the whole day before the aut-msg-wt light comes on. Why is that ?

In later releases we have had to x-port the station in question and build a subscriber for the same in Audix. Be sure to run an audit-names, audit-subscriber, and on the station side, be sure to put Audix in the messaging field on the station form.

I've noticed that when you add a message waiting light it doesn't usually work for messages already in the mailbox. Normally a new message must be left for it to turn on.

I have a G3R V9. Would this allow me to setup a mailbox without building a station and X porting it ? I have placed a new message in the Mailbox and still no light is on. I have left several messages with no luck, and this mailbox has a station programmed and X ported as well. So I guess the only way to have a aut-msg-wt work with a mailbox is to setup a station and X port it. It just seem to take some time to get the message light to come on. I find it takes until the next day before I see that light come on. That's probably because it does a audit or something in the middle of the night.

You have to build the station and set the mwi parameters on the station form even though the light will be on a different phone.
