I have a 2.1 installed that records internal and external calls to it's own "supervisor" mailbox. I even have the aor_00.wav file replaced with a blank wav so the announcement isn't made whenever the recording starts**.
** I know it's illegal. That's why the Auto Attendant states that "calls may be recorded for quality assurance."
Didn't work! Don't remember why, but it didn't work. Even called Avaya and they're the ones that told me what WAV file to edit.
Even upgraded the customer's VM Pro and firmware and the WAV got copied back over. Tried turning off the announcment again and again it still played the announcement! Replaced the WAV file with a blank and I was back to normal.
I can't remember what it was, but disabling the recording announcement only worked for certain recording scenarios. This customer was a media center for law firms (copied court videos, court documents, etc.) so he recorded EVERYTHING. Call recording had to be turned on for groups as well and I think that's what might have thrown a wrench in the works for the "disabling" function not working properly.
And you have auto-recording turned on for both parties? Is the one party being called from the other via a group? Because if so, you need to make sure the recording is turned on for the group too.
sorry, maybe i'm going around on the same question but i've ticked in the user tab :
outgoing record :active
incomig record :active
time profile :blank
mailbox automatic record: the user's one
mailbox manual record: the user's one
library vocal records(auto): ticked
so
when i've' outgoing and incoming calls EXTERNAL i hear the prompt announcing that the call is going to be recorded, but on the inernal calls i don't-.and igf i look in the mailbox of the users interested thy are empty...
so where the recorded call are?
and the internals aren't recorded
