Okay, I have a ftp script that runs and download datasets to my PC and save them as .txt files (ASCII). After the files are downloaded, the script tell MSAccess to open a DB and autoexec a Macro that imports the text files using import specifications.

Now, my goal is to migrate this database to SQL....
What would you guys do to accomplish this?
I want to use the same exact steps as described above.

Use a DTS package that connects to your other database (mainframe perhaps..), and downloads the data directly into a temporary table (use a Data Transformation Task together with two connections objects, one to your SQL Server db, and the other to your remote DB), and perform whatever data transforms you need (if any).

Thanks guys, I will try that once I get back to work. I am pretty new to SQL, so please be patient with me and I'll definitely have questions once I setup a test system when I get back to work.
