MY
need help..
i'm using a fax incoming and outgoing software, which means,i didnt use the physical fax machine at all. What i'm trying to do is,every incoming fax is kept in a folder, prepared by the fax software..now, i would like my Access to automatically absorb/save the incoming fax document saved in the fax folder into an Access table? is there any way to get my access do that?

Hi

Saving the image of the fax document is probably not a good idea, since it will cause rapid increase in database size, best solution is to save the path to the fax document in the access table

As to how you do that depends on the level of integration between the fax software and access, which you do not explain, the key is how is the file path passed to Access?

i'm using the MyODBC which is MySQL database as the table..so i didnt really mind about the size of table/database..
and for the second one..i just need a way for access (maybe in codeS) to get a file inside the fax folder (example:/c/fax/new file name) and then save it inside a table...i dont really need the fax software to intdegrated with VBA in access..
