Hi. I saw someone else asked this question a while ago and everyone responded "don't use merged cells" so here I am either asking if there is a way to autofilter merged cells OR is there some other workable solution. Thanks!

Here is my table design:
__________________________
P |Complete tasks all in one big cell (row1)
R |
O |
J |_______________________
E |In Process tasks all in one big cell (row2)
C |
T |
1 |

P |Complete tasks (row3)

J |_______________________
E |In Process tasks (row4)
C |

I'd like to be able to auto filter and see the whole block for Project 1 (not just the first row as autofilter does now). Or, if anyone can think of any other nice organization so I don't have this problem, that would be nice to.

Here are the requirements - it is only for me, it is my TODO list. I want it to be as easy to add to as sometimes I get new tasks and need to write them down right away. I also would like to be able to "filter" or view any one project by itself (for convience)

Any ideas? I'm not looking to do anything real complicated, just something simple buy useful. Thanks for any suggestions!
