I am currently running exchange 2003 and outlook 2000 / 2002. I am trying to setup auto-reply on individual mailbox (either client-side or server-side). It is for some old email addresses that were used by the old employees. The auto-reply msg will let the sender knows that all emails should be forward to the current employee email address. It is not working.

Try to login via webaccess to any of the account-mailboxes and setup autoreply. Download webaccess admin tool on Exchange and try to modify settings with in.
In this case you will be able to identify problem right away (if it is server related or client related.
After this is done, we can proceed with ACL permissions check.
By the way, was Excahnnge upgraded from 2000?

How do I download webaccess admin tool?
It was a clean install, not upgrade.
ACL permissions check?

The tool is on the microsoft site just type web-access admin tool or through google...you will find it pretty easy...I meant permissions on Exchange Server
SMTP settings...just go one step at the time...

You can't setup an autoreply from owa. This is only a client-side rule.
