Auto Intercom

Hi, I can't make auto intercom work on a IP 500, works on 406v2, using sw 4.0(5) on both switches and IP phone 4621.
Is there anyone with an idea what the problem can be?

I noticed that they changed the way auto intercom works on 4.0. They do it in a foolish way now. You have to press the Idial button the dial the ext number then press done. Before you could press Idial and then a dss key or dial the ext.

Stupid stupid stupid.
