auto-install (how to turn off)

A while ago I connected an HP inkjet to my computer and installed the software using the factory supplied CD. Since day one, WinXP PRo has asked me to install the product again and again and again.

[neutral] How can I stop WinXP from asking me to install software that is already functioning? [neutral]

It's nothing major but it would be nice to not have to cancel the install every day. [smile]
