Hi All,
i have 2 servers, 1 shutsdown(A) on a nightly basis and the other server(B) stays switched on 24/7.
i have a mapped drive on the server(A), shortcut to mapped drive is on server(B).
Server(B) is not refreshing the link when server(A) comes back online i.e. it has the red x over the mapped drive on server(B). is there a way to automate this process?
p.s. os is win 2000 or 2000sever.
thanks in advance.
Tony

Thanks for that,
Could you elaborate for me as i am a newbie
Thanks again

ok...
bear in mind it might not sort out the red cross problem....
that's something else
before telling you how to do it, its better finding out if it is necessary...

when you access the network drive that has the cross on it, do you have access to the drive? does it 'explore' ok?
cos if it does, then its nothing to worry about.
check this link out... if you see anything that concerns you, follow their explanations...
