Hi,
Does anyone know of any program that can scan my computer and tell me what kind of hardware a computer has even though the driver is not installed. My problem is that every time I format a computer I have to open the box and look at model of the NIC, Video card, MB, etc. Then I have to google and find the drivers.

It would be so cool if there's a program that will tell me what kind of hardware a computer has so that I would not have to open the box. Has anyone ever heard of such program?

Belarc and Everest both do a good job. To use them for commercial use you need to buy a license but for home they are free.

SiSoftware Sandra Professional 2004. Great software. It collects info from your computer and tells you exactly what everything is. As far as hardware. After installed , open it and double click system summary and it will tell you every piece of hardware in your computer.

Thanks a bundle guys. I cant wait to try these programs out.
