Auto-calculate not working

Any ideas why auto-calculate might not be working on a spreadsheet? I've checked under Tools->Options->Calculation that Auto-calculate is enabled. The spreadsheet pulls figures from other spreadsheets as well. Thx.

If Automatic calculation is enabled, then try one simple calculation on any other sheet.
If it gets calculated automatically, then you need to varify the references from other sheet to your original sheet.
Check whether 'Update remote references' is enabled?

You need to elaborate as to exactly what is not working. Is it a link to a closed workbook, or is it a link in a file that is open on your machine that is linked to another workbook that is open on your machine, or is it a link to a file that somebody else has open etc etc.

Ok so it links to a closed workbook. I'm assuming therefore that it is a calculation on your open workbook that is not working. Do you have the word 'calculate' on your status bar, or perhaps 'circular'?
