Auto Attendent Problems

Having a problem with my Auto Attendent...
I am using Comet VMS with my legend....It is answering the calls and transfering them fine...

The call is getting transfered to the intercom button of the person....After the person picks up the intercom button, it is taking a good 3 seconds before the person and the caller get connected.
Is there a way to adjust this?


Also, the Message waiting indicators are not working.
My MLX phones have the MWI's on all the time, the regular analog multilines message light wont light up. I've tried reset the merlin, sending the on/off codes, but nothing.
Any suggestions?

 
Comet VMS is the problem. To communicate with the Legend from Voice Mail, mode codes are used (touch tones) you'll have to configure the comet to send the right codes. On your MLX phones, try Menu-Messages-Delete to get rid of the MWI's
 
OK That worked to get rid of the messages. But I should still be able to, independent of comet, dial feature 53 and an extention number of an analog phone and be able to have the Message light go on, no?

Any idea about the intercom delay problem?
 
The intercom delay problem is an issue with the transfer from the VMS, sounds as if Comet is not releasing without a delay. Try F54 instead of F53. F53 cancels a message, F54 turns off a light, sometimes the same, sometimes not. The Legend won't complete the transfer until 1) a transfer code is sent, or 2) the transfer-from end hangs up.
 
I tried them both, no go.
I then tried F53 from the operators phone. It worked.
Is there a way to get merlin to accept that code from any phone??
