WHAT IS EXTENSION 41? it is a phantom extension, i just pick a none use extension (i can pick ext 21 for example)
What do you expect to happen when you transfer to an extension that doesn't physically exist?
The call will immediately cover to voicemail, just like a physical phone that is in Do Not Disturb
Your ACS processor is a 509. Are you using all of the extension ports on it? Lets assume not, and you can "sacrifice"
the last one, Ext. 18, for this experiment.
Your Partner Messaging R1 module has a 2-port card installed in it, and you're placing it in Slot 1 of the 5 slot carrier
Assign the 2 Voicemail Port extension numbers to Hunt Group 7
#505-7-19-1, #505-7-20-1
Assign Line 1 to be answered by the Automated Attendant
#206-7-01-1
Configure Line 1 to ring 4 times before the Automated Attendant answers (when in the Day mode)
#506-1-01-4
Set the Transfer Return Rings to zero, because you want calls transferred to Ext. 18 to ring forever
#105-0
Go into Centralized Telephone Programming and set Ext. 19 through 24 to No Ring on all lines
Access the Partner Messaging by dialing Intercom-777 and log into the System Administrator's mailbox.
Press 9 for programming, 2 for extensions, 18# for Ext. 18, and 2 to assign Transfer Only permissions.
Press *#, *# to back up to the top menu, press 3 for automated attendants, 1 for automated attendant number 1, 1 for the Day menu, and 6 to modify. 1 for Selector Code number 1, 9 to change its function, 1 for Selector Code Transfer, 18# for extensions 18, *## to save the changes without recording a new automated attendant greeting.
Now call line 1. It will ring 4 times. The Automated Attendant will answer. Press 1 and the call will transfer to Ext. 18 (which doesn't have a phone plugged in, but physically exists) and it will ring forever or until you hang up.
