Hi,

I have just purchased and installed the embedded vm card for my IP406V2.

I have configured 2 AA's as follows:
Press 1 for Sales - goes to huntgroup
Press 2 for support - goes to AA 2 where you are presented with 5 further options.

If it is out of hours, when someone presses 1 for sales they get the huntgroups voicemail based on my time profile. This is what i want for Sales.

What i want to achieve is when someone presses 2 (2nd AA) out of hours they are presented with a message saying sorry we are closed, before going to the huntgroups. No voicemail is required though.

At present if a user presses 2 then 4 they will get the huntgroup's voicemail. I don't want them to even get that far into the system.

How can i achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Easiest is in your ICR have a destination for Night to a new AA. This new AA has option 1 as above, but option 2 goes to AA3. AA3 just plays a message (Menu record only). I don't see the point of transferring the call to huntgropus after you play the Closed message, but if you need to then use the fallback under ICR and set the idle timer in the AA to a low number of seconds.

If the fallback causes problems, as callers that don't press anything will always fallback to this destination, then give the caller an option to dial 1 for the night group.

Thank you very much. I will give that try now. Didn't think about that.

Hi,
I don't have the option Menu Record on the AA.
I only have:
Blind Transfer
DialByNumber
Normal Transfer
Not Defined
Replay Greeting
Transfer to Autoattendant

By menu record I mean just use the *8401. You know the way you have *8101/201/301 which are used to play the "good morning/evening/afternoon" message and *8401 is the Menu part, e.g. press 1 for sales, 2 for....

Also note that you can use the morning, etc, for bank holidays/Xmas, or whatever time profile you want.

The menu part always plays, it's just up to you if you want to play the prompt before hand.

In my example don't bother with the other parts, just use the menu.

Hope I make sense!
