Hello,
I've setup a new auto-attendant in an Intuity that supports 3 different sites. The dial-by-name menu works fine on nodes 2 and 3 (rings the extension so that caller and far end hear the ringing, then covers to vmail as it should) but on node 1(location of the vmail) calls do not ring for the caller before going to vmail. I believe the far end can hear the ringing but the caller cannot. The call eventually covers to vmail.
Is their something in the PBX on node 1 I can look at or a setting in the Intuity for node 1 that needs to be changed.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Vic

I believe the far end can hear the ringing but the caller cannot." Isn't the far end and the caller the same thing.
U need to test it yourself to know exactly what they are getting.
I suspect the node name in the INtuity is incorrect in the pbx or intuity for node 1.
Does everything else work fine?
So as I understand it, a outside caller calls into a autoattdt, that has a prompt to dial by name, and when they dial a node 1 subscriber u have it set up to "transfer", not "call answer" to the station side?

To recap, the name transfer functions as it should (rings for the caller properly) when dialing out to nodes 2 and 3; however transfers to node 1 do not ring for the caller. The person at the phone can hear the ring and the call covers to vmail but just doesn't ring for the caller as it should.
Everything appears to be setup correctly in the Intuity for the name-transfer attendant. The node number is correct. It works well it just dosnt' ring for callers to node 1 extensions.
Any ideas?
Vic

I saw something like that before, it had to do with "change system feature" on the node 1 pbx. There was a parameter that said what was heard on transfered or held calls. Compare with other nodes when u find something that talks about "held call" or transfer calls.
