Auto Attd Timeout to Coverage Path

I am trying to fix a problem with our Auto Attendant Menu. When a caller first calls the 800 number, they get a Auto Attendant Menu. I have 0 and Timeout transfer to a Hunt Group (with no extensions) with a Coverage Path.

The Coverage Path has serveral extensions of people who could answer the call. When it is done we would like it to end in the last extension's VM. When I enter "h1" as my last coverage point, the system goes to the Hunt Group's VM instead.

Please help!

The coverage path is for the hunt group, so the voicemail will be too. I would remove the coverage path and add the members to the hunt group that you now have set up in the coverage path.

On the extensions you can add a coverage path to them (if you want) and make the call round wherever, but it should end up on one of the extensions voicemail that the call was routed to from the hunt group.

"You don't stop playing because you get old. You get old because you stopped playing."

When I removed the Coverage Path and entered the extensions into the Hunt Group, the incoming calls hunt back and forth forever never reaching a VM.

The calls should go to the members of the hunt group and then to their voicemail. It will route the calls depending on the hunt group set up. The memebrs will have to have a coverage path with h1 as the last point of cover.

Let me know if you need more help.

Do you have any time of vectoring permissions?

We usually put the last point of coverage in the coverage path as a VDN. (v1111, for example)

Add VDN 1111 and point it to vector 1, for example.

Change vector 1 and have it look as follows:

01 wait 0 sec hearing silence
02 messaging skill 1 for extension xxxx

(where xxxx is the extension of the voicemail box you want to go to)

I think that the problem is that the first extension is an Attendant Console. The Hunt Group causes incoming call to get stuck on the Attendant station (model 302), while the coverage path doesn't roll to the last station VM.

I think that vectors are required (per marcell55), but I haven't done any of those. When I enter a VDN, I see an attendant vecotring flag (y/n). My Messaging command asks for "split", not skill like the last post - see below:

Thanks for your help!

CALL VECTOR

Number: 5 Name: press
Multimedia? n Attendant Vectoring? n Meet-me Conf? n Lock? n
Basic? n EAS? n G3V4 Enhanced? n ANI/II-Digits? n ASAI Routing? n
Prompting? y LAI? n G3V4 Adv Route? n CINFO? n BSR? n Holidays? y

01 wait-time 0 secs hearing silence
02 messaging split for extension 253

Are these calls going to an auto attendant or attendant console? If they are console calls they will need to done differently. The vectoring would probably be your best option.

They initially go to an Auto Attendant Routing table which has a Day Service Mailbox subscriber. This VM is a Auto Attendant (cos=a-a). The "0" Button and Timeout are set to a Hunt Group Extension.

This being the case, then marcell55 has your best solution. When a call is routed to an attendant cosole you need to have vectoring to be able to cover those calls. You can also have VM as the last point of coverage.

I have been trying to add a backup point on my consoles and the only option that I have is add another console or the vectoring.

I got it to work with VDN1111, vec 1 suggestion.

The auto attendant goes to a hunt group with a coverage path.

The Coverage Path has the attendants console by extension number, followed by the vector vdn number (v333 in my case).

Vector 5 (VDN 333):
01 wait-time 0 secs hearing silence
02 messaging split 1 for extension 253

Thanks to everyone for all of the information - I know enough to be dangerous now.

We will see if this setup pleases everyone next week!

Glad you got it working. Now that you have played with vectoring, you can make them do some really cool stuff.
