I followed the steps from this forum re:auth codes and was able to setup AUB and AUT and was successful in making a long distance call by using the SPRE + 6 + authcode + Phone Number. However, I could not find the steps to allow authorization codes globally on all phones with NCOS 0 that will prompt you to enter authorization code after hearing a tone. What is the package to allow this feature? I have a Suc 3.0 software. I hope you can provide me with the loads and commands to activate this feature. Thanks in advance.

on your rlb in load 86, the prompt mfrl sets the mim ncos that is given auth code request tone

The MFRL for the corresponding RLI is already set to 0 and the NCOS on he phone is 0. Tried to call out but there is no authcode tone. Please advise. Thanks.

change it to 1, that will give the auth code below ncos 1, below ncos 0 is default and that turns it off

Thanks a lot John - the auth code works. The code has to be entered after the long distance number has been dialed. Could I change it so that I am prompted to enter the code at the beginning of the dialing rather than at the end. Again, I appreciate your help.

no, with aut codes on the switch, it has to see the digit string to determine the rlb, then the rlb checks the ncos of the set and matches that to the mfrl... mine are set up so that most users only get auth request on ld (ncos 1) ncos 0 is prompted for local and ncos 4 is requested for international.. so i have auth codes that changes from 4 to 7 as well as from 1 to 3.. so i can give an auth code that allows only local calls... just because some users need local access from a public area, it doesn't mean they get free ld or international.. i perfer to keep those calls to a set i can cdr and know the owner... only myself and the ceo have both ncos 7 and an auth code to turn any set into an ncos 7.. and i watch his calls

I will be using the codes on all our conference phones so that users are only allowed to make local calls and will be prompted to enter the code for long distance calls. So I setup my MFRL to 2 and the NCOS on the phones to 1. NCOS 0 is reserved for internal calls only.

because your ncos is reversed.. auth codes may cause a problem. they are written to work with ncos 7 being the least restricted and 0 being internal. i assume you can reverse that but i have never tried
