I'm the admin for an intranet site. Clients access the site via their Internet Explorer browser, and Integrated Windows authentication is used.

I am trying to access the site via Internet Explorer directly on the server, but am always challenged for id/password...even though I'm logged on to that box. When I do enter my credentials, it doesn't recognize them. I also tried prefacing them with the domain\ to no avail.

Checked the security settings on the server's IE install, and it seems fine. Is there some restriction from viewing an intranet page FROM the server itself?

Any ideas?

1. What OS and IIS version are you using?
2. Are you logged onto the domain on that IIS machine, or are you logged on locally?
3. Run the "set" command and paste output here.

1. Using Windows Server 2003, IIS6
2. Tried both...currently logged in on domain
3. Output of SET command:
