Hi guys,

If I want to connect my E0 AUI to 10/100 ports into my 1900 switch. Do I need a cross cable or straight?. The funny thing is I can connect to the regulars ports its goes fine, the port led turn green(good sign). But when I try connect to the 100mb port, I dont get anything.

I have never seen an AUI interface that can run at 100mb.

I could be wrong, but in 10 years all the AUI interfaces I have seen are 10mb only.

Foget about 100mbs for amoment. I just cant get it work. Do I need a cross cable?

Many AUI adapter can be either.. there is a small switch on the unit that flips between a cross or not. Without it, the normal way is

switch to switch = crossover
host to switch = straight
host to router = crossover
router to router = crossover
switch to hub = crossover
hub to hub = crossover
host to hub = straight

Also, many hubs have a single port that can be switched between crossover and straight.
