One of our customers has a specific requirements with Definity Audix. He would like record one message simultanously to more than one mailbox. It is possible?
If you mean leaving the same message for multiple people, yes you can do that.
For one-time situations, when you press option 1 from the main menu to record messages, and you have finished the message, you can address the message to multiple people.
If it is something that is done on a regular basis to a set group of people, you can go into option 5 from the main menu to create/administer mailing lists. You need to make sure the subscriber is set up to do mailing lists. I believe that is on the second page of the subscriber setup. You can then use that mailing list after you have recorded a message from option 1 instead of entering each extension.
Personally, I find Audix mailing lists a little cumbersome to maintain and use. I prefer email for that type of communication.
Thanks, but I looking for solution that looks like:
Person who is calling from outside of Definity living simple messages on mailbox. I need have this message on more than one mailbox automatically.
You can set up what is called a broadcast mailbox. Which
links a message to multiple mailboxes.
I'm not sure if this will do what you are looking for though.
Can you be more specific as to what you want to accomplish?
I am not sure you can have a message someone leaves in a specific mailbox go to other mailboxes without some caller or user intervention.
What if you set up one mailbox with outcalling to a pager? I believe you can get pagers that allow you to call one number and it will page multiple people, group page.
