I have the following alarms in Audix.

App Resource Type Location Alarm Code Alm Level Ack
VP MTC TR CH5 7 MAJ N

Does anyone have any insight as to what the alarm is? and how to fix/clear it?

What kind of audix? Definity audix, MAP 5, MAP 40, MAP 100, LX, or IA770. That will make things easier to look up the alarm in the docs.

Isn't this Tip/Ring Channel 5 out-of-service? What do you see if you status the voice ports?

How do i status the voice ports?

App Resource Type Location Alarm Code Alm Level AckVP MTC TR CH5 7 MAJ N

Alarm Code: 7
Event ID: MTC007
Alarm Level: Major
Description: An internal software error occurred during a request for a
resource or a release. The system could not process the
request, and a card or channel may not be available.
Repair Procedure:
This alarm requires remote maintenance center intervention.

I don't have the interface readily available in front of me to guide you through the menu choices and I do not have them committed to memory.

But for future reference, here's a link to one of the Alarm manuals.

Determining the
Channel State
To determine the channel state:
1. Start at the Lucent Intuity main menu (Figure 4-2) and select:
Voice System Administration
Voice Equipment
The system displays the Display Voice Equipment window
(Figure 6-1).
2. In the column labeled State:, scroll through all of the
channels listed and verify that each is in the Inserv state.
3. If any channel is in a state other than Inserv, you must change
it. Continue with ‘‘Changing the Channel State.’’
If all the channels are already in the Inserv state, skip
‘‘Changing the Channel State.’’ Continue with ‘‘Testing the
Channels.’’

And here's the Installation Doc:

All channel states were inserv. I will get with the maint center to handle the alarm. Thank you guys for all of your help. It is much appreciated.
