Hi,

I just installed Win 2000. But sound card is not working. It's telling no device found. Previously i had a ME on my pc and sound was working. I am doing installation from the downloaded version. Please tell me what should i check.
I am not very good in doing these setup. So if possible please write me in detail.

Thanks,

Amar

First tell us something about Your configuration.Meanwhile right click My computer-properties-device manager if You can see Yellow question mark open it .
If Your sound card is not integrated on board You'll have to install drivers from CD (supplied with soundcard) if it's integrated You probably have drivers on CD supplied with motherboard,if You have both (integrated AC97, on motherboard and other one in PCI slot) You should disable one on motherboard (enter BIOS).Than use device menager to install S-card .If prompted for CD follow the wizard directions. You can also rigtht click the yellow question mark -properties-on general tab click reinstall drivers and when You are prompted browse s-card CD for drivers.
