Hi ...

What's a good atx tower case and psu to go for...?

Thanks

That's like "I'm buying a car - what should I get?" What are your needs? What CPU? How many add-ons (CD - Burner - graphics - drives - etc.)

What are you going to use this computer for!? That is where to start. If you are just a casual user your needs are different than that of someone who may work with graphics, so let us know and bet you will get some excellent answers

Check out the Antec towers, they're good value for money and many come with their excellent TruePower PSUs included.

I'll be runnin dvd-rw + cdr/w

20gb 80gb and 120gb drives...will be expanding in future.

p4 processor 3.2

1gb ram ddr400

Will also want usb2 + firewire (maybe audio) access on the front.

4 x 5.25 + 4/5 x3.5 internal + 2 external.

+450w psu with rear fan and bottom fan.

at least 5 pci slots at the back

Cheers.

Wow, that's a LOT of devices, what about gfx, that's another really hungry device?

if u really use everything on your list, then u might consider something more powerful than a 450W...

Maybe something along the lines of 500-550W, of course this would also depend on how u decide to use the devices...

Personally, I've got an antec true power 480W, and so far it's not given me any problems, and the voltages have all been stable.

I would not put a 20gb drive in a new computer. You will have to use SATA or a controller to get 5 drives in a computer.

Normally I would say go to
However, I cant even reach that location for some reason.

If you do not like my post feel free to point out your opinion or my errors.

The 20gb drive will be purely for the windows operating system...the others will be storage drives.
I don't lke partitions.
