I've taken basic administration training, but i don't remember hearing about this.

There is a "night" button on the attendant phone. Problem is that I don't even know how to tell what station that is, so i can see what buttons are programmed on the station so i can see what its doing. I traced it back to the port, and did a 'disp po 01c0607' to see if i could get an extension or station number, but it just says "1". HOw can i look and see what the station number is, so i can see the numbers taht are programmed? I need to see what announcement/vector goes off when the night button is pushed.

Try typing, "display listed". There should be a night destination in there.

there is nothing there. do you know how to find the station listing for that actual console?

The night announcment is programmed in the listed-directory-number. if its empty you should have your main number in there so it goes to an attendant console.

We program ours in an attendant vector, so the vector is turning the night announcment off not the attendant.

try disp trunk 1 (whatever your trunk # is) and you should see incoming destination and night service listed. Then if you dont find what your looking for in the station form list hunt to see if your console station is part of a hunt group. If not disp vector 1 or 2 etc. to see if the extension is listed there.

Display Attendant 1

This will show you what is programmed on the console. The purpose of the night button is just to tell the system that it is in night mode. Anything that has a night function checks to see the status of the console and if it sees that the console is in night service, they follow there night destination instead of their normal path.

well there must be a vector, though i can't tell how to see which is assigned when the time changes (to night). I hear an announcement, but I don't see an announcement (doing list announcement) that matches. is this a different sort of announcement?

ok, i found 2845, which is nite auto-attd, so this may be an audix thing. the menu i hear (which i thought was an announcement), seems to be coming from an audix vmail recording, i have no i idea how those work, is that a vector of some sort?

It is a mailbox in Audix that is setup as an auto attendant. The menu that you hear is the greeting that is recorded in that mailbox and you can do display attendant 2845 to see how the choices are set up.

phonepd, that command isn't valid, disp attendant expects numbers 1-16. 2845 is a vdn to vector 4, which is also the vector that the vdn for our main number goes to. I can do a change vdn 2845, but that doesn't show me choices. If i do a list usage extension 2845, its comes back with the vector 4 and vdn 2845, which is expected, wouldn't there be a vector for to handle the choices of the announcement? Sorry i'm so ignorant on this, i don't know how night attendants work...
