I am presently setting up a Definity G3V1 with three attendant consoles. This system is for a Travel Call center. Many times all three attendants are on their phone......Is there any way to force these un-answered calls to Voice Mail.?

Do you have vectoring?

take two of these and call me in the morning

From my original post....I'm still looking for a way to direct unanswered attendant seeking calls to my Voice Mail System. I do have Vectoring and ACD...neither of these features are being used....They are turned on under Sys paramaters Cust Options. Before I spend a lot of time trying to impliment this feature, I need to know if it will work. I do need to correct one thing...the system is a G3V4.

Rignt now, I finally got the attendants to placing their call on hold, answer 2nd call and immediately transfering to a 7406D tel set with a Mail Box.

If Vectoring or ACD will work, I'd be willing to pay someone to remote program this on the test switch in my shop.

any and all comments appreciated...

Yes it can be done, without much effort at all.

From the Avaya vectoring manual
"Attendant Vectoring enables a set of commands that can be used to write call vectors for
calls to be routed in non-call center environments. When Attendant Vectoring is enabled,
all attendant-seeking or “dial 0” calls are processed using the call vectors, not the normal
attendant console call routing.
Attendant Vectoring is available with the DEFINITY Release 8 and newer switch releases.
The main reason to use Attendant Vectoring is to allow flexible routing of attendantseeking
calls. If users are instructed to dial an attendant VDN, the call could be answered
by an attendant, but it may also be covered to the voice mailbox of a night station.
Training users to understand these different call routing options is something you should
consider before using Attendant Vectoring."
Sounds like G3V4 doesn't have attdt vectoring.
