Attendant dial 0

Hi All
I had an operator consol on the reception, but found it was too much for the security guards to use, so i removed the attendant and created a station to take the few incoming calls we have, I changed the dial plan to have 0 as an extension , then tried to create extension 0 and put a forward on it to ring the 6424 now on recepiton, the system says that the object 0 has got some usage on it and need to be removed before i can create extn 0, so i temp put in 11 for attendant and still cant crate 0, also now i cant delete 11 as an attendant .

if you do a "lis usa extens 0" what does it say 0 is being used for.

Removing an attendant needs "rem att xx" command, it doens't function as a station.

When you swapped out the attendant console for the 6424, did you actually remove the attendant from the switch or just swap over the hardware.

Let me know and we'll solve this one for you.

I would change tenant 1 and add attendant vdn, Then add vecor to your new vdn to route your dial 0 calls and handle night service.

Thanks for the replies,
If i do a list us ext 0 it says it has no data in the system to list, if i do a list extenion-type it shows 0 and 11 as Attendant. I cant delete either of them and as I added extn 11 as a temp dial code it has no other programming associated with it.

it will be in ypur dial plan, display dial plan ana. O would be set to attennat, you could change that to ext but again I would set it up via tennant with vdn and vectoring for easy of control.

We have several sites like this and use a solution similar to Yimmer. We have an attendant configured that is not a real console. It has no hardware assigned. Then the tenant is pointed to that attendant and the Night Destination points to a vdn that points to a vector that points to the phone being used as a console.
