Attendant Console

I have an attendant console 302a1-a-003 with a strange dial tone. I think this console is the 4 wire type , but I have tried to reset the tone, but with no luck. It works all other ways but the dial tone is wrong and hence the numbers will not operate.

Did you solve this? Did you put this one on another port? Does another console in this jack and port work OK?

Yes I have tried a this console in another port with no luck and I have aslo tried another console in this port and it works fine

If the phones are exact the same it can be an alaw/ulaw problem.

Make sure the fork plug is out of the phone and then from another phone use the *-feature to upload the config.

I have tried the reset *5 with the extension of the attendant with the fork plugged out, this gives me a constant tone, ie not allowed, if i try the * 5 reset with any other digital extension it gives me confirmation tone and the 3 lights come then off to show correct operation. Looks like the update fac does not work with the attendant console.

Any other thoughts ????

It sound like the console is bad if another one works fine in it's port. The "A" is also one of the first consoles that were put out. We are now installing the 302C's.

I am not so aware of the A and C. Does the other give confirmation on *5? If so one is not good.

Does anyone know if the refresh parameters fac works on an attendant. I have tried it on our other working units and the system does not give me the confirmation tone.

It works but leave the fork out and you need to do it from another phone! The lights of that phone will lit as if that phone is done. You can check the status also.
