I tested my app in my PC – I run it several times and all worked fine. But when I installed Database on network drive (F:) I can run just 2 copy of App, when I try to run 3th app copy and open some tables I still can see magic words ‘Attempting to lock, press ESC….’

I wrote some programs in Clipper and they work fine on this network.

I’m getting to brak-down with Fox and I make thing I choose other database language to write my app.

I solved many problems in VFP and I take a liking it, but ‘Attempting to lock’ – eghhh I don’t understand it

PLEASE HELP!!!!

What are you using for a network server? Most OSs can limit the number of connections to a single file, or the total number of files opened (especially by a single user). Have you checked both the workstations' and the server's MAXFILES settings?
