Programs that I receive as attachments and then save in appropriate folder are saved with current date/time stamp. I want the original date/time stamp preserved, as keeping track of versions is critical. If the sender zips the file first when I unpack it the date/time are preserved, but senders cannot be relied on to do this. How do I preserve original date/time of attached and saved files?
I also sometimes see files in WinXP that have a modified date older than created date (when I view properties). I can'r recall what the circumstances are, but it's obviously wrong.
