ATI Video Bios Poller Client

I have made no changes to my computer at all. No new programs. I turned on the computer the other day and I now get an error message - ATI Video Bios Poller Client Ati2evxx.exe Application error. The instruction at "0x7c911639" referrenced memory at "Oxoo863005". The memory could not be "read". Click ok to terminate or Cancel to debug. Nothing happens if I click ok or cancel. Does anyone know what has caused this error and how do I get rid of it.

Try to update the ATI Catalyst driver to the latest build...

clean out the fan (if so equipped), as dust build up can cause all sorts of problems...

if that does not alleviate the problem, then it could be a hardware fault, i.e. video memory...
