I installed an ATI Radeon Video card on a Socket 7 A-OPEN AX59PRO with an AMD k6-2 300 CPU and it seems to run pretty slow. I was testing it with a game called Moon Mission, the sequel to Earth 2125. I was wondering if the processor just isnt fast enough for the game. By the way, I kind of like this game. It is very interesting.

On my other computer I have a Gigiabyte motherboard with an Intel PII 350 CPU and a Voodoo 3 3000 video card, and the game runs just fine.

I don't know if the A-open motherboard cant handle the video card, the processor is just too slow, or the video card just works better with a Pentium CPU. I was thinking about possibly switching the video cards between the two computers.

I am thinking the AGP on the A-open board needs some kind of driver or something. At the A-open site they had AGP drivers but not for that board.

Got any Suggestions? If you do not like my post feel free to point out your opinion or my errors.

Never mind, I already fixed it.

A-open had a 4 in 1 driver that fixed the AGP problem.

Windows kept telling me I had incompatable hardware because Win98 couldnt read the IRQ table correctly. This driver rewrites the IRQ table and has a GART driver for the AGP.
