ATA for paging IPO V10.1

Anyone know the best ATA for paging on IPO 10.1. This is a remote site with IP phones connected to the main site. I have a Viking UTI1 on site.

I have used the Cisco SPA112 several times. It's easy to set up

An ATA rings a single line phone. You will need to add a "Centrex" paging adapter to connect to the amplifier input. It may not disconnect cleanly and leave you with several seconds of dial tone over the speakers when the person doing the paging hangs up.

Use a SIP paging adapter, like the Algo 8301 SIP Paging Adapter or 8180 SIP Audio Alerter

The 8180 has a 5 watt loudspeaker built into it, or you can program the speaker off and connect the audio output to the input of your amplifier (or audio input of self-amplified speakers). It can also multicast to their other IP loudspeakers if you don't already have an entire paging system set up. Finally, it can register a 2nd SIP extension for loud ringing over paging if needed.

Sorry, I initially misread this post. Algo 8301 Paging Adapter is a good possibility. It will require a 3rd Party SIP License. The Algo 8180 is another option.

Thank you RocketJTech and TouchToneTommy. I forgot to include that they already have a Viking UTI-1. It is also a basic paging application and I can't see paying for the Algo over the Cisco with a $300 difference unless you know of a reason why the Cisco would not work for this?

I misread your initial post and gave you bad information on the Cisco. TTT is correct that the ATA is designed for a phone, not paging. You will need something similar to the Algo. There are many other manufacturers that have this type of equipment. You may want to check out Viking El Electronics for a SIP paging adapter. I know Snom makes a couple as well. You will need a 3rd Party SIP license regardless

You can set the UTI for a RINGING analog station. You call the extension number, it rings once, the UTI answers, are you are paging. It's when you hang up that there is no CPC signal from the ATA to the UTI and DIAL TONE is broadcast over the speakers for 15 seconds. You can't include the ATA in an simultaneous page group, with telephone sets and loudspeakers. If that works for you, go ahead and save $300

I should have said Bogen UTI1 and I said Viking in error. I was in no way trying to down talk the Algo, I was simply saying that I don't need simultaneous paging, schedules, bells etc. They want to push a button and page. The Bogen UTI1 says it supports an analog station. I will get with them as to why it would still send dial tone after disconnect. I had something similar with a music on hold device. One manufacturer had two similar model numbers and I had a customer that had a single recorded MP3 file to play for hold. I used the original device for years. The new device was fantastic: you could get music from the cloud, type out a message and it they will professionally record it for you and send it to the device. The new device took almost an hour to set up, I needed to download and install a file just to add the message file I had from USB. The previous model, I could plug in the USB, plug into power and the phone system and done. I am just trying to find the right device for the job.
