AT commands on mobile phone

I like my mobil phone ( NOKIA6230i) using as modem. I can make a connect with Definity, if the INADS number is a direct number. But I can not do ATDT123456,123 ( after a pause dialing the extension 123,) or ATDT123456w123 (After 2nd dialtone 123) My phone dialing the all number (123456123) , and the call is cutted. But with a normal modem on PSTN line no problem.
Can You help me?

you'd better read the manual for your phone and maybe consult some specialized forum, since it's clear that problem is in this particular phone model.

not win ! I found a documnetetion from nokia: the pause command <,> not working when U make a datacall. Only in voice mode working.

It might also be that your network doesn't support pauses/etc. On my former service, the cellphone did a 'data' connection to a physical modem in the MTSO, so the actual 'modem' connection was between the cellular switch and my PBX modem, not between my _cell phone_ and the PBX modem.

Hmmm, but how can I tell to my boss, a mobilphone with camera, and with mp3player+etc, not better then a mobilphone without media features

you can say simply: boss, this funky phone can't dial data calls and i need it very much for remote systems management. buy me another one, cheap'n'simple just for this purpose.

More junk on the phone does not make it better, just more stuff to get in the way of what you need to do.
