I want to buy a P4S8S motherboard, it's RAID capiable but i dont want to use RAID, however i do want to use the ATA133 Capicity,Can i use the PromiseATA 133 connector With 2 drives set to master and Slave? this mother board has three connectors, 1. promise ATA133 and 2. It's two ultra DMA133 IDE connectors.

Yes you can. What you need to do is go into the BIOS and select the Advanced tab. From there, go to the PCI Configuration and disable the Onboard ATA device. That will disable it's RAID capability. That will helpo make the machine boot quicker. Enkrypted
