I am currently running win2k Server in a mixed enviroment of Win2k machines and win98 machines. My question surrounds setting up an assistant admin ID and Password. I have done this and it allows them to log into the server with admin privledges but it does not allow them to log into the user machines with admin privledges. The only ID that allows them into the user machines with admin privledges is the network ADMIN ID. I know I can go into each machine and manually set them up as the admin if they log on locally v. loggin on to the network domain, but I am sure there is a better way to do this.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Screach.....the sound of your world coming to an end at the sight of the dreaded BSOD!

You have to make this user a member of the administrators group on every 2000 and XP machine. You do this even though you log into the domain. The Local Users & Computer will allow you to add a user from any domain in your forest, so when you login to your domain, it will give your user admin privledges on the local machines. This is a lot of work, but I believe this is the only way!
