Assigning IP address to LAN2 on MxeIII via serial

Hi all and compliments.

I have a 3300 whose LAN1 port is no longer connecting. LAN2 was not configured with an IP address.
1. Is it possible to assign an IP address to LAN2 via serial and how is it done?
2. Will the IP phones connect via LAN2 when configured with an IP address?
