I would like to assign a funtion key to Windows (let's say F10) that performs the following operation
ALT+TAB+Space
Is this possible?

You cannot do this natively. Hotkeys are applied to shortcuts of other programs or batch files.

You would have to write a program to output the key combination, create a shortcut to the program in the Start menu or Desktop, and then assign F10 as the hotkey.
