ASP-The Requested Resource is in Use

After removing a program from the IIS 5.0 server I am now getting a "The requested resource is in use" eror anytime an asp page is requeted. Other pages seem to work fine. I have tried a new website with only a single index.asp page and it errors but works when I change it to index.html.

I reinstalled SP4.

Any ideas on how I can fix this without rebuilding the server.

Rebooted yes...several times. How do I "reset" IIS?

Reset command

there is a stop and start command on the IIS itself..
Right click on the default web site...do a stop and start

there is also a dos command try looking for
netstart something or netstop....

Now if that does not work there is another command but i cannot remember what that is....let us know i think it
is recyleIIS or similar ...

I did that. It's all of the websites on the server. I have tried changing IP addresses...stopping all sites except for a new one with the single index.asp page in it.
It's like the ASP has become corrupt and I don't know how to reload or reset it.
