Asp/IIS share settings

I'm all confruzed about directory sharing, and as a result my asp pages aren't working. (I think thats where my problem is...) I'm running WinXP Pro and IIS 5.1. When I try to access

http://localhost

, I get "You are not authorized to view this page."

In the IIS control panel, Allow Anonymous Access is checked for my Default Web Site. Also, my Default Document (iisstart.asp) is enabled.

I've tried to use Windows Explorer to set the sharing on the

http://WWWRoot

folder as well. I have both a "Sharing" tab and a "Web Sharing" tab. Web Sharing is set to share the folder on the default web site.

Can anyone help me out?

Make sure the IUSER account had access to the folder..right click > properties > security

Isn't it IUSR_machinename?
