ASP does not run; Frontpage Server Extension problem, maybe?

I've just installed/upgraded my server extensions to Frontpage 2002 ext. All my web files (.html, .aspx, .htm) runs fine, but my *.asp file does not run at all? Any ideas??

Check the Application configuration..
Go to Configuration on the web site and see if asp is there as an extension.

Try a basic hello asp page...see if that works...and turn on debugging on the server....enable asp server side script to see if get any more descriptive help..

Uninstall the extensions..does the asp load...if so then it is the extensions that are doing it...

If you have urlscan loaded..i know sometimes if you install this incorrectly it does not allow you to run asp pages...(you have to select this when installing it),,,there is an option.

Check if you have norton utility or some virus checkers on server...if so make sure that to get the virus scanners to not check asp pages...

For getting it to work...can stop the virus....checker.
