Has anyone comes across PCTel internal modems (Dell laptops) having a problem with latency. The modem dials in fine but when trying to open Outlook it just times out or opens but is very slow. Understandably analog is slow in nature to begin with but this thing drags even when it's states connected at say 52K...

If I use another modem it works fine woth the same user account. There is definitley an issue with PCTel modems adn AS5300 MICA modems. I have the MICA modems using the latest and greatest port ware as well.

We also enabling and disabling many options under the DUN connectoid including trying diffrent drivers..

Any thoughts?

Much thanks.

In case I may able to save someone some time. Here is what I did to fix this issue.

Added int string on client machines: AT%C0+MS=V90

Added the following to the box: modemcap entry mica-noKflex:MSC=&F&D2s53=0

Added the following to the modem autoconfigure type: mica-noKflex

This was for a small business with about 30 users.
