AS 6.6 NW to AS 9.1 NW

Hi
I need to resotre some files of off a tape thawas originally backed up by AS 6.6 for Netware on a NW3.2 Server.
We now have NW6.5 and AS 9.1.
Can anyone tell me whether this should be possible?
If it is possible, then I am getting a problem when we start a merge it seems to start Ok then we get an error E1086 failed to scan file VOL$LOG.err (size:66207), 2

any insight will be much appreciated,

Technically it *may* be possible, but there are many potential variables here not all of them ARCserve related. These include but are not limited to file system, patch levels, volume types and so on. I would suggest you contact CA for advice. One thing though - are you sure the original backup taken was restorable at any point?
