AS 6.6 Device Group Configuration Multiple Changer

Hi All

If I could ask you to cast your minds back...!

I'm running a server with AS 6.6 on Netware 3.12 and have acquired another (identical) DLT2500 tape changer. Is there any way to set it up so that when the tapes in the first changer are full, the job will then carry on running but on the other changer?

Any ideas appreciated!

In the Device Manager window, run Group Configuration, and put both tape drives in the same group. Next you have to restart the Tape Engine. Now since both tape drives are in the same group it will automaticly look to the second tape drive when the first is full. The down side is that you will not be able to run two jobs at the same time.
