hi, im trying to remove the password on an old argent branch, i have tried the prodedure in the FAQ section using the dte port but it looks like the at commands only work on ip offices's i have the old argent software discs (2.2(65) and it wont let me reset the unit via that without the password any one know a work around?

thanks guys!

I'd go back and retry the DTE port method. I have had to default Alchemy units, and this is the correct procedure.

Take Care

Matt
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

make sure toy are typeing AT-X2 & not at-x2, the Argent & the IPO are case sensitive

See if there are any old configs in the manager directory or any directory. Open offline and use something like snadboys revelation v2 to find the password in the system tab.

Dont know if it works on your system, some time ago I had an index without password, Avaya gave me a password based on serial number and time of day.

The ipoffice doesn't have the same password setup as the index.
