ARCserveIT Tape engine terminated

We have Arcserve IT ver 6.61 build (834) running on a Compaq DL580 NT 4.0 server.On startup we get an event message as follows "ARCserveIT Tape Engine service failed with the following error ---cannot create a file when a file already exists .We use Emmulex HBA fiber channel cards . Are there any issues or conflicts with quantum DLT 7000 external Tape drives ???

Have you set it to overwrite? If you are using a rotation of the tapes and a previous backup is there it will error out because the file already exists unless you allow overwriting.
This could be a possibility.

Upgraded to Arcserve2000, did not have same problem.
