Arcserve v7 restore problem

We have Arcserve v7 manager installed on a w2k terminal server looking @ 4 novell (4.11 & 4.12) servers running v7 for netware.

When trying to create a restore job using restore by session all that happens is Arcserve on the teminal server hangs.

when doing a restore by server you can open the directory structure but there is only a couple of alternate dates available.

We have tried re-installing arcserve on the terminal server and restarting arcserve on the Novell boxes (backups running OK all successful)

All i can think is that the copy on the terminal server is not picking up the arcserve databases on the Novell boxes correctly

v7 wasn't really good early on at handling TS support. Either try on a machine without TS, and/or make sure you are patched up.

you can try a merge of the tape into the database. if this still doesn't help, then look in the arch$svr.log for BTRV errors.
