Arcserve V7.00 Problem with the tapes

Hi !!

I have a problem with my Arcserve; some times when I display the devices I have wrong names in the slots names (For example instead of having 3 labes as friday I have 4) or just two..
any help?

An inventory should correct this.

If this happens right after the Tape Engine is started check to see if quick initilization is used. If it is run Device Configuration again and do not select it.

If this happens after the Tape Engine has been running for some time then perhaps tapes are being moved around manualy from the library instead of through the ARCserve Device Manager window.

If remote management is being used. Make sure the ARCserve manager installed on the local system has all the updates that were installed at the server. If you are using remote management software instead of an ARCserve Manager installed localy check to see if the same thing is seen at the server itself.
