Arcserve and Exchange Agent

Hi,

I have just installed Arcserve 11.1 c/w disater recovery / open files agent and exchange agent

I have been in contact with CA for the last two weeks because Arcserve does not see the exchange server

I have installed the latest service pack for the server, configued an account for the agent etc. CA have connected to my machine on a number of occasions, but still Arcserve will not see the exchange server

We are now looking at the fact that port 6070 is not open on the server, could this be the cause and if so, can anyone tell me how to open the port in question.

If I install premium agent (30 day trial) then Exchange document level appears, but the backup job always fails with the error "unable to retreive data from client agent"

HI,

The Exchange agent for BAB version 11.1 uses port 6074 as opposed to port 6070 it used to use before.;

Please open up port 6074 and see if it helps..

The problem was solved by deleting a key in the registry as advised by technical from CA

They changed the port settings to 6070 in the agent config and told me to open the port up. Never found how to open the port, but deleting the key got it to work
